Job summary

The Salvation Army - North & Central Illinois Division, Ray & Joan Kroc Center in Chicago is seeking an Aquatics Manager to oversee daily aquatic operations, safety protocols, staffing, scheduling, and MAHC compliance.

You will lead programming development, manage the Learn to Swim program, coordinate budgets, and collaborate with the Operations Director and Marketing to promote activities and attract members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Sports Management, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in pool management.
• Certifications: Lifeguard Supervisor, WSI and/or Lifeguard Instructor, Safe from Harm, CPO or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of staff and scheduling for the natatorium.
• Ensure MAHC compliance and safety protocols.
• Develop and monitor aquatic programming, including Learn to Swim.
• Prepare and manage budgets and rental agreements for aquatic programs.
• Provide leadership to aquatic staff and participate in monthly in‑service trainings.
