Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification with CPR, AED and First Aid.
• Experience in aquatic facility management preferred.
• Ability to maintain certifications and work safely around water.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and promote the YMCA mission to staff and community.
• Supervise aquatic environment to ensure safety of patrons.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Maintain current CPR, AED and Lifeguarding certifications.
• Ensure swim programs and classes follow association standards.
• Balance chemicals and monitor pool operations regularly.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Perform routine maintenance of pool and surrounding areas.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by Branch Director or Coordinator.
