Job summary

City of Madison, Alabama is seeking a full-time Aquatics Supervisor to oversee pool safety and lifeguards. The position requires nights and weekends, with the starting pay of $24.25 per hour based on experience. Pools operate long hours seven days a week.

Responsibilities include supervising an in/outdoor pool, coaching lifeguards, monitoring chemical levels, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting with swim programs and staff scheduling. First aid and CPR will be administered as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold relevant lifeguard and water-safety certifications.
• Experience supervising a pool and guardians of public safety.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool safety and lifeguards; lead by example.
• Maintain cleanliness of pools and surrounding areas.
• Check chemical levels and safety of facilities daily.
• Organize swim lesson registrations and programs.
• Schedule staff and serve as lead to coaches lifeguards.
• Respond first to emergencies and administer first aid.
• Enforce facility rules and educate patrons.
• Assist with time cards, staff scheduling, and program supervision.
• Support Aquatic Superintendent and Assistant Director as needed.
