Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard who combines safety focus with friendly service. You will monitor indoor and outdoor pools, assist members, and help manage water slides and aquatics events.

Requirements include StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR and First Aid certification, working toward a HS diploma or GED, ability to swim 300 yards, tread water, and lift 20+ lbs. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first).
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping.
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members.
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid.
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities.
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members.
