Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a part-time Lifeguard at Tri County YMCA in Menomonee Falls, WI. The role requires advanced swimming and rescue skills, current Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications, and the ability to work with a diverse member base.

The Lifeguard will supervise pool areas, enforce safety rules, perform tests, and respond to emergencies while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Requires at least 15 years of age and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Pass an advanced swimming and rescue skills test.
• Lifeguard or Red Cross lifeguard certification is required.
• Must be at least 15 years old and able to lift 50 lbs.
• Certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid and AED must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, nurturing environment for all members and guests.
• Develop rapport with members and staff and work as part of a team.
• Maintain safe swimming conditions in pool and surrounding areas.
• Enforce health and safety rules and respond to emergencies per YMCA policies.
• Prepare and reset equipment for recreational swims and report equipment issues.
