Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County seeks a part-time Lifeguard at Southwest YMCA, Greenfield, WI. You will monitor pool safety, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies while engaging with members. Must hold Lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid/AED, be at least 15, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification required; Red Cross accepted.
• Pass an advanced swimming and rescue skills test.
• Must be at least 15 years old and able to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe swimming conditions in pool, deck and surrounding areas.
• Enforce health and safety rules and respond to emergencies.
• Set up and put away equipment for recreational swims.
• Complete incident and accident reports as necessary.
• Work with staff as part of a team and communicate with members.
