Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to keep swimmers safe and deliver friendly service at our California Roseville club. You will monitor indoor and outdoor pools, assist with events, and enforce pool rules while ensuring a positive guest experience.

A High School Diploma or GED is required; StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications are expected or on track. Wages start at $17.50/hour and go up to $20.50/hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification (or bridge to StarGuard) before or within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick, and bring it to the surface.
• Ability to frequently bend to lift more than 20 lbs.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza".

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge toStarGuardwhen current certification expires or within 1styear, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.50 and pays up to $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
