Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Chanhassen, MN is hiring an Aquatics Lifeguard to keep our pools safe and welcoming for members. You will monitor the pool deck, assist with water slides, and support events like Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include greeting members, rescuing swimmers in danger, administering first aid, enforcing safety rules, and maintaining a clean pool area. Must have StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move around the club for extended periods.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.

You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza".

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $14.25 and pays up to $17.00, based on experience and qualifications.
