Job summary

Life Time is hiring an Aquatics Lifeguard in California to monitor pools, ensure guest safety, and assist with events like Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza. You will engage with Members on deck and enforce safety rules in a fast-paced club environment.

The position requires StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications; you must be able to swim 300 yards, tread water, and lift light loads as part of daily duties. Strong customer service helps you excel here.

Qualifications

• Working toward High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year).
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping.
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs.
• 6 months of customer service experience.

You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza".

• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.50 and pays up to $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
