Job summary

Life Time Inc. in California is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard who is safety minded and customer focused. You will monitor indoor and outdoor pools, assist with events, and ensure the pool deck is kept safe and orderly.

The role requires StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification (or bridging), BLS CPR and First Aid, plus the ability to swim 300 yards, tread water for a minute, and retrieve a 10 lb brick. Pay starts at $18.25/hour up to $21.00/hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first).
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping.
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs.

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the‑art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza."

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $18.25 and pays up to $21.00, based on experience and qualifications.
