Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is hiring a Full-Time Aquatics Support member in the Aquatics Department. The role may include Lifeguard duties, swim instruction, or Aquatics Supervisor responsibilities during different shifts.

Candidates must be 18 or older, hold American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and Water Safety Instructor, and be a Certified Pool Operator (CPO). Aquatic experience with supervisory duties is preferred; safety and customer service come first.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
• 1 year aquatic experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Enforce pool rules and ensure safety.
• Supervise Lifeguard and Swim Instructor staff.
• Coordinate scheduling and safety procedures.
• Ensure swim lessons start and end on time.
• Assist with JCamp swim lessons and Hoover location as needed.
• Maintain water quality and safety compliance.
• Address customer service issues professionally.
• All other duties as assigned.
