Job summary

Town of Windsor is seeking a Head Lifeguard to supervise on-site aquatic facilities, manage staff and ensure public safety during all operations. The role includes lifeguard leadership, pool maintenance, scheduling, and incident reporting.

The position requires current Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications; Swim Lesson Instructor or Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred. Outdoor pool season typically spans Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Lifeguarding experience preferred but not required.
• Equivalent training/experience acceptable to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling pool activities and rentals to optimize usage.
• Hire, train and schedule lifeguards, instructors, and staff.
• Monitor pool area to prevent injuries and ensure safety of patrons.
• Rescue swimmers, perform CPR/First Aid as needed and maintain safety rules.
• Maintain pool equipment, water chemistry, and facility cleanliness.
• Lead staff trainings on water safety, CPR, and emergency procedures.
• Document incidents, logs, and required reports.
