Job summary

St. Anthony-New Brighton Schools is seeking an Aquatics Lead to guide our Learn to Swim program and related aquatics activities. Under the Community Services Coordinator, you will plan and implement programs for district residents and students, coordinating lessons at the St.

Anthony/New Brighton pool and Fridley Middle School pool. This is a 20-hour-per-week, year-round role with a pay range of $19.51–$24.25 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification (LGI) required or obtained within 4 months.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience managing students, adults and staff; builds positive family/child relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement learn to swim program and other aquatics activities.
• Collaborate with the Community Services Coordinator to introduce new practices.
• Coordinate lessons at St. Anthony/New Brighton and Fridley Middle School pools.
• Provide aquatics programs during the school day for middle and high school students.
• Hold or obtain necessary certifications to train staff.

Purpose:
The Aquatics lead is responsible for leading our learn to swim program and other aquatics activities opportunities

Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Community Services Coordinator, the Aquatics Lead is responsible for the planning and implementation of our learn to swim program, future activities and classes. This position works closely with the Community Services Coordinator to implement new practices and programs based on the needs of the St. Anthony/New Brighton residents. Lessons may take place at both the St. Anthony/New Brighton pool and the Fridley Middle School pool.The Aquatics Lead will also work with other district employees to offer aquatics opportunities during the school day to Middle and High School Students. The Aquatics Lead is expected to hold certifications in order to conduct trainings for aquatics and other district staff.

Employment Dates: 12 months a year
20 hours per week (hours and days vary as needed)
Salary: $19.51 to $24.25 depending on experience
