Position Summary

As the Aquatics Head Swim Team Coach, you should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities include helping Swim Team members improve their swimming in state-of-the-art pools, writing and running Swim Team Group Workouts according to the seasonal plan, training Swim Team Coaches, overseeing participant registration, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Create an educational and safe environment for all participants
• Build positive relationships with participants
• Respond to member questions regarding programs, policies, and procedures
• Ensure the pool area is safe, clean, and organized
• Promote and sell Aquatics programs and services
• Act as liaison between the Aquatics Department, USA Swimming, Coaches, and Parents
• Participate in weekly meetings with the Aquatics Manager
• Develop season plans and workout templates
• Register swimmers for swim meets

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of swim coaching experience
• Membership in ASCA and USA Swimming
• Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification
• Complete LTU Safety Training before first shift
• Complete all LTU courses within 60 days of hire
• CPR/AED certification
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Ability to work stationary and move about the club for extended periods
• Effective communication skills with guests
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters continuously
• Ability to bend and lift weights up to 20 lbs regularly and more occasionally

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Experience teaching swim lessons
• One year of customer service experience
• ASCA Level 2 Certification or higher
• Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid certifications

Pay

This hourly position starts at $17.75 and can go up to $24.00 based on experience and qualifications.
