Job summary

YMCA of Pen Argyl seeks a certified aquatics group exercise instructor to transform lives one class at a time. This part-time, hourly role in Pen Argyl, PA offers flexible scheduling and the chance to connect with members through deep-water workouts.

Requirements include 2+ years in aquatics fitness or group instruction, a valid Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification, First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen training (or ability to pass) and the ability to adapt class style for all abilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Aquatics Fitness or Fitness Instructor experience preferred.
• Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen training or able to pass trainings.

Responsibilities

• Conducting primarily deep water workouts.
• Finding new and engaging ways to connect with our members during class.
• Instructing an effective, safe class for all abilities at the YMCA.
• Willing and able to serve as a substitute for fellow instructors.

What is needed for this job:

• Age 18+ and have 2+ years Aquatics Fitness or Fitness Instructor experience preferred
• Have an Aquatics Group Exercise Instructor Certification
• Can perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen or ability to pass provided trainings
• The ability to adapt your class/style for the members in front of you
