Job summary

The Barry and Florence Friedberg Jewish Community Center in Oceanside, NY is seeking a full-time aquatic facility administrator. You will supervise daily operations, maintenance, and staff training, while developing programs that promote water safety and healthy member experiences.

Qualifications include Nassau Lifeguard 1A/1B/Grade III, ARC First Aid/CPR/AED, and 2 years of management experience; WSI is a plus. The role requires strong communication and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nassau Lifeguard certification or equivalent.
• ARC First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
• WSI certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operation, maintenance, and admin of the aquatic facility.
• Oversees hiring, training, testing, and certification of staff and student employees.
• Develops and implements aquatic programs and ensures water health and safety standards.
• Ensure safety of the instructional learn-to-swim program.
• Maintain attendance records using provided rosters.
• Care and proper storage of equipment.
• Model organization values and policies; promote member experience.
• Recognize emergencies and complete incident/accident reports.
• Follow oral and written instructions; communicate clearly.
