  • Works with facilities to submit work orders and to develop a plan for future maintenance needs.
  • Inventories and organizes equipment.
  • Maintains class certificates and updates as needed.
  • Fills in and updates one pool chart and web schedule.
  • Assists in the first two (2) weeks of class to address student needs.
  • Acts as a substitute lifeguard or instructor when needed.
  • Assists with training new lifeguards and instructors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This role includes oversight at a busy community pool of a wide range of aquatic programs and services, including classes for community members, credit students, rental opportunities, lap swim, and private swim lessons. This position requires a strong focus on managing pool equipment and maintenance.
This is a part-time position with teaching and coordination hours totaling up to 29 hours per week. The pool operates for over 70 hours per week, and this role is one (1) of three (3) that oversees pool supervision. Supervision hours will be shared among the staff, with some evenings and weekends required.
Please note that classes are offered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring/Summer, with pool shutdown periods in between. During these shutdown periods, staff may be asked to assist with planning and scheduling, though a full 29 hours will not be required during these periods. Hours will be preset each semester.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • LGI Certification, or willingness to obtain within first year of employment.
