Job summary

The YMCA of the Wabash Valley in Indiana is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to coordinate safe, high-quality aquatic programs for members and the community. You will oversee daily aquatics operations and provide leadership, supervision, scheduling, and accountability for aquatics staff.

Under the direction of the Executive Branch Director, you will help maintain a welcoming aquatic environment, support program growth, and ensure staff follow YMCA safety practices and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s in Health, Fitness, or Recreation-related field preferred.
• Have a valid Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Have a Red Cross WSI or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling platforms.

This role supports the development and delivery of aquatic programming, oversees day-to-day aquatics operations, and provides leadership, supervision, scheduling, training, and accountability for aquatics staff.
