Grand River Area Family YMCA in Missouri is seeking a Director of Aquatics to lead the overall operations of the aquatics program, ensuring safety, high quality, and growth within the branch. This leadership role requires strategic planning, staff supervision, program development, and a commitment to YMCA values.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in recreation or a related field, have supervisory experience in aquatic settings, and possess relevant certifications such as First

Qualifications

• Two or more years supervisory experience in an aquatic program preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer.
• ARC or YMCA Lifeguard Instructor (Trainer preferred).
• YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
• Previous YMCA experience preferred.
• CPO certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations of the aquatics program and ensure safety, high quality and growth.
• Lead program development, staff supervision, and budget management within the aquatics area.
