Job summary

Foster Lake & Pond Management seeks an Aquatics Construction & Repairs Technician to install, maintain, and restore ponds, lakes, and related aquatic infrastructure in North Carolina. The role blends outdoor fieldwork with equipment operation, focusing on quality, safety, and customer service.

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on projects, works well with a team, and commits to environmental stewardship while delivering high‑quality results. Travel across NC is expected as projects require.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including wet/muddy environments.
• Work on uneven terrain, steep slopes, and around water.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer and mobile device proficiency for timekeeping and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, stormwater facilities, fountains, aeration systems, and related infrastructure.
• Assist with construction, renovation, and restoration projects for aquatic environments.
• Install and maintain pumps, piping, drainage systems, and other aquatic equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, pumps, chainsaws, and other construction equipment.
• Assist with erosion control, shoreline stabilization, excavation, and stormwater system repairs.
• Load, unload, transport, and stage materials and equipment safely.
