Job summary

Wave Aquatics in Kirkland operates Juanita Aquatics Center, a public facility at Juanita High School. This role performs daily janitorial and maintenance tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety for patrons and staff.

Shifts noon to 3pm, 4–5 days per week with one weekend day; there may be opportunities to train on pool operations and related tasks. Work environment is indoor, humid, with occasional outdoor duties and chemical handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Knowledge of, experience with and/or willingness to learn cleaning procedures.
• Good judgment with ability to reprioritize based on cleaning needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms and locker rooms to standard, including deep cleaning toilets, stalls and floors.
• Clean portions of the pool deck using approved methods.
• Sweep and vacuum foyer, pool deck, observation deck and offices.
• Clean windows throughout offices, foyer and observation deck.
• Clean seating areas, remove trash and wipe surfaces.
• Take out trash and recycling to dumpsters and replace liners.
• Wipe desks and surfaces in offices; organize as needed.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to supervisor.
• Identify opportunities to improve facility cleanliness.
• Report maintenance and safety concerns promptly to the operations director.
• Pick up litter at the entrance and parking lot.
• Occasionally use an electric pressure washer.
• Log and track cleaning tasks daily.
• Support emergency protocol implementation as needed.
