Position Details

• Position: Kroc Aquatics Attendant (KAA)
• Location: Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, Philadelphia PA
• Availability: Immediate
• Schedule: Part-time, up to 19 hours/week, including weekends and evenings
• Reporting to: Aquatics Manager or Aquatics Supervisor
• Salary: $14.08/hr
• Status: Non-exempt
• Grade: 73

Responsibilities

1. Monitor access to the aquatic facility and maintain logs of patrons.
2. Enforce aquatic department rules, ensuring safety and compliance.
3. Address violations respectfully and report issues to supervisors.
4. Provide program and facility information to members and guests.
5. Address rules and violations proactively through communication.
6. Assist in maintaining a safe environment in water parks and swimming areas.
7. Demonstrate knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
8. Share information about programs and services offered by the center.
9. Perform other duties as assigned to support the center's success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in such a program.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Training in recognizing and reporting child abuse (must provide proof within 30 days).
• Child Protection Clearances as per PA Act 153.
• Understanding and appreciation of The Salvation Army’s mission.
