Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking an energetic Assistant General Manager - Aquatics to oversee daily lesson flow, staff development, and family safety experiences on the pool deck. This role blends leadership with hands-on instructional oversight and operational management.

You will coach instructors, monitor performance trends, and train new hires from day one, ensuring every shift upholds the Goldfish standard across aquatics, front desk, and facilities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of aquatics or youth programming experience required.
• Ability to coach and develop instructors and deck staff.
• Comfortable using digital tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Keep lessons on time and at high quality each shift.
• Coach instructors on skill evaluation to support student progress.
• Use attendance and performance data to adjust staffing and operations.
• Lead training from day one through full competency for new hires.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing decisions with GM.
• Maintain staff certifications (lifeguard, CPR) and records.
• Plan skill-based events and safety-focused activities.
• Oversee safety culture and implement Emergency Action Plan.
• Manage call-outs and staffing gaps, ensure smooth operations as MOD.
