Job summary

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a Florida driver's license, a restricted pesticide license (aquatic/right-of-way), and CPR/First Aid certification. Training is provided under a licensed supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 1 year of right-of-way and aquatic herbicide experience or equivalent training.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.
• Valid Florida Restricted Pesticide License in aquatic and right-of-way categories required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled herbicide application work at aquatic and terrestrial sites throughout the City of Orlando.
• Follow supervisor's instructions when applying herbicides to control unwanted vegetation without harming desired vegetation or private property.
• Perform normal and some specialized maintenance in the described work areas.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed supervisor.
