The City of Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation is seeking an Aquatic Instructor to provide a safe swimming environment, teach Red Cross water safety, and supervise aquatic programs. This part-time role requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays with a typical schedule under 27 hours per week.

You will work across multiple park sites, deliver high-quality instruction, ensure policy compliance, and support community health initiatives.

Qualificações

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years old.
• Must possess current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification or American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification, or equivalent specialized program certification/experience.
• Must obtain American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days of employment and complete departmental skills test.

Responsabilidades

• Provide a safe swimming environment.
• Provide customer service and enforce rules.
• Administer CPR and first aid as required.
• Instruct all levels of American Red Cross Water Safety Programs per ARC and department standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on workload and department needs.
