The City of Miamisburg is seeking a seasonal Aquatic Assistant Facility Manager for the Parks and Recreation Department at Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center. You will help manage the deck, pool, water quality and guest experience, reporting to the Aquatic Manager.
Responsibilities include interviewing, supervising and training staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and daily operations oversight. Prior lifeguard experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

The Aquatic Assistant Facility Manager reports to the Aquatic Manager and plays an integral role in the fulfillment of Miamisburg Parks and Recreations’ mission and vision. The Aquatic Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the deck, pool, water quality, and customer experience at the Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center. Responsibilities include assisting in interviews, supervision, training, and evaluation of aquatic facility employees, as well as ensuring excellent customer service throughout daily operations. Essential responsibilities include the daily management, scheduling, and accountability of the aquatic staff and instructors, as well as ensuring the daily operations, customer experience, and function of the facility are monitored.
Compensation for this position is $17.00 to $21.00 per hour DOQ

The Aquatic Assistant Facility Manager will be thoroughly committed to Miamisburg Recreation and Parks mission. All candidates should have experience working in a customer-oriented setting, be comfortable delivering positive as well as constructive feedback to staff, and thrive in a teamwork environment. The Aquatic Assistant Facility Manager will be responsible for the daily management of the aquatic facility including supervision of all seasonal staff, management, and care of all equipment. A passion for recreation and service to one’s community is an expected element of what qualified individuals will bring to this position. A minimum of two seasons experience as a Lifeguard or Attendant, one season as a Head Cashier or Head Lifeguard, or other Assistant Manager positions. A basic understanding of chemical processes, water safety and current or previous lifeguard or Lifeguard Instructor in a licensed certification program. Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and be able to complete the Red Cross Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor programs upon hire.

The Aquatic Assistant Facility Manager position requires the employee to work with computers, electronic and mechanical systems, both indoors and outdoors, including inclement weather. Some exposure to chemicals, high noise levels and other environmental conditions may be necessary to perform the job. This position is frequently required to interact with customers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust visual focus. Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, speak, hear, see, read, concentrate and/or lift up-to 50lbs. or more with proper equipment. Employee will be required to drive city-issued vehicles including but not limited to golf carts, utility vehicle, SUV, or pick-up truck.
