Job summary

Golden Nugget Las Vegas is seeking an experienced LSS Operator responsible for daily maintenance of life support systems, ensuring optimal water quality for exhibits, and assisting in technical projects. Ideal candidates will possess at least 3 years of aquarium life support experience and a keen understanding of biological systems.

The position requires excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to work in a team setting while ensuring animal care standards are met. Weekend and holiday availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
• Must possess basic/advanced/intermediate mathematical skills.
• Good understanding of the biological ramifications of water movement.
• Good mechanical, carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills.

Responsibilities

• Adjust water quality parameters according to supervisor.
• Perform filter backwashes on exhibit systems as required.
• Monitor and adjust life support equipment as needed.
• Maintain daily accurate records in ZIMS.
