Job summary

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium (LLPA) in Draper, Utah seeks a full-time Aquarium Educator to enhance guest experiences with interpretive programs and live demonstrations. You will deliver engaging education sessions across on-site galleries and campus outreach, and work with students from Pre-K to high school.

Responsibilities include presenting science programs, conducting animal encounters, and collaborating with managers and peers to refine interpretation methods.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• At least 18 years of age
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in biology, zoology, marine science, environmental science, education, or related field preferred
• Experience interacting with children, small groups and/or large audiences is required
• Willingness to undergo UT LEA background check
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality interpretive experiences in galleries and education spaces
• Provide inspiring personal engagements, presentations, demonstrations and learning stations
• Deliver science education programs to Pre-K–high school students across Utah
• Collaborate with Education Managers and peers to improve interpretation
• Adapt programs to audience age, size and needs
