Job summary

Coral Cove Childcare Center, located inside the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, UT, seeks a dedicated Teacher to design and deliver age-appropriate lessons through play-based, experiential learning.

You will guide children's investigations, supervise activities, support social-emotional growth, and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom. Collaboration with colleagues and communicating with families are essential responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in education and teaching with experience with ages 2–12.
• Experience in lesson planning and development of play-based curricula.
• Effective communication with children, families, and team.
• Experience in training or mentoring staff.
• Preferred: coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field.
• Ability to maintain safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom; manage groups positively.
• Willingness to engage in aquarium-based activities and experiential learning.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with play-based and experiential learning principles.
• Guide children through educational activities, supervise play and exploration.
• Support social-emotional development and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate regularly with families about student progress.
• Assist with program events and activities.
