The Arizona Department of Economic Security is seeking an Adult Protective Services Investigator to handle complex investigations for vulnerable adults 18+ who may be abused or exploited. Travel and coordination with community partners will be required to ensure safety and appropriate services.

You will document findings, develop case plans, and provide testimony when needed, while upholding state laws and DES policies throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a closely related field.
• Experience in case management, investigations, intake, needs assessment, service planning, monitoring and evaluation.
• Ability to pass background checks and fingerprint clearance; E-Verify may be required.

Responsabilités

• Investigate and assess the most complex cases involving vulnerable adults 18+ who are abused, neglected, or exploited.
• Perform direct and indirect case investigation activities with extensive travel as needed.
• Prepare comprehensive progress notes, case plans, risk and safety assessments, and closure summaries.
• Maintain accurate, timely case files and share information with community partners.
• Refer clients for guardianship or conservatorship as appropriate and provide testimony in court as required.
• Collaborate with clients, providers, and resources to deliver appropriate services and support.
