KBR is seeking a Supply Technician—Property Book to lead the Property Management team at the Charleston area site. You will supervise roles, manage inventories for Major End Items, and coordinate material transfers using GCSS-Army and DST systems. The role requires a high school diploma with preferred but not required bachelor’s degree, and U.S.
citizenship along with base access and CAC eligibility. The position focuses on accurate paperwork, data reporting, safety, and cross‑functional
KBR maintains and manages US Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion - Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army’s power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs, IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.
The Supply Technician is the most senior hourly position within the Property Management section (Property Book). The section consists of 7 Supply Techs who provide daily guidance and leadership to the additional 15 hourly employees. All Supply Tech positions report directly to the section supervisor. The Supply Tech leads inventory procedures for Class VII and Class II MTOE equipment and materials. Transactions and research are conducted in GCSS-Army (US Army’s ERP). The DTS system is also used for initiating and tracking re-distribution of equipment across other US Army units.
Supply Tech performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work is usually segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. The Supply Technician expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within government tracking systems, help meet production, shipping schedules, and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue. Establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material; applying knowledge of repair and maintenance processes; compile report of quantity and type of material on hand using computerized system. Provides guidance and training to lower-level supply personnel, e.g., Material Coordinators, Warehouse Specialist, Stock Clerk, Shipping & Receiving Clerk and provides assistance to the Supervisor.
