Job summary

Fute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our oncology care team in Bethesda, Maryland. The role offers a permanent, full‑time opportunity with a typical 8 AM–5 PM schedule and a focus on comprehensive patient care across clinic and hospital settings.

Ideal candidates will have an active NP/PA license in Maryland, at least 1 year of clinical experience, and oncology experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license eligible to practice in Maryland.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Prior oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Outpatient clinical experience preferred. Hospitalist or inpatient rounding experience preferred.

• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with oncologists, physicians, nurses and other care team members.
• Participate in hospital rounds and inpatient oncology management as applicable.
• Provide outpatient oncology care and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and medications.
• Support continuity of care between outpatient clinic and hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to oncology patients.

• Collaborate closely with oncologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
• Participate in hospital rounding and inpatient oncology patient management, as applicable.
• Provide outpatient oncology care and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
• Support continuity of care between the outpatient clinic and hospital setting.

• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be comfortable splitting their time between the oncology clinic and hospital rounding. Experience in both settings is preferred, but candidates with strong oncology experience in one setting are encouraged to apply.
