Job summary

The MetroHealth System seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct patient care in collaboration with physicians, including diagnosis, management, and referrals. This role supports preventative care, patient advocacy, and complex cases within an academic, community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• APN certification authority from Ohio Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification, with ACLS within 180 days of hire.
• Meets clinical privileges requirements with MetroHealth.
• Ability to prescribe where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in collaboration with a physician.
• Deliver evidence-based care and manage patient needs.
• Assess, document, and analyze patient data across specialty.
• Institute measures to promote health and prevent illness.
• Develop individual, evidence-based care plans and evaluate outcomes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold ethical standards.
• Prescribe drugs within scope of practice where allowed.
