Job summary

Pentair is seeking an APQP Engineer to join our Apex, NC team. You will drive quality planning and ensure compliance with product requirements, contributing to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. The role involves cross-functional teamwork, DFA/DFM reviews, and leading the NPD Steering Committee through Pentair's 3D & 5D gate process.

Travel up to 30% is expected. We offer base pay between $82,300 and $152,800 per year, with eligibility for additional incentives based on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or 7+ years QE-related experience.
• CQE certification and knowledge are required.
• Proficient in problem-solving tools and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Advance Quality Planning and monitor execution for new product launches and major updates.
• Travel up to 30%.
• Drive customer focus to ensure internal and external satisfaction.
• Engage in DFA/DFM reviews.
• Lead NPD Steering Committee within cross-functional teams using Pentair gate process (3D & 5D).
• Drive APQP activities (DMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan) and address launch issues.
• Apply lessons learned to prevent recurrence and lead DV/PV issue resolution.
• Utilize Quality and Lean methods (DOE, poke-yoke, visual management) to meet objectives.
• Participate in product/process planning, gage design, and service development; ensure PPAP compliance.
• Evaluate process capability using statistical techniques to meet performance and cost goals.
