Job summary

ShopRite of Milford is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to support the daily operations in the Appy/Deli Department. You will deliver a great customer experience, assist the Deli Manager, maintain a clean, organized department, and help with product prep and display quality.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varying temperatures, operate deli equipment, and ensure safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to operate equipment as required by department (e.g. slicer, scale, can-opener, wrapping machine, rotisserie, fryolator, cheese grater/cutter, case cutter and stove/oven).
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Use a slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli product.
• Prepare Appy/Deli product for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, preparing, storing, and price marking to ensure quality and rotation.
• Handle damaged and spoiled products according to policy and assist with inventory control.
• Keep displays stocked and properly turned and faced to department standards.
• Monitor refrigeration equipment and report failures.
