Job summary

ShopRite of Montgomery is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to assist the Deli Manager in daily operations. The role requires maintaining an attractive department, accurate product prep, and strong customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.

You will handle diverse tasks including slicing, stocking, receiving, and food safety, while adhering to store policies. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math proficiency required.
• Operate department equipment (slicer, scale, can-opener, wrapping machine, rotisserie, fryolator, cheese cutter).
• Stand, bend, lift 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Deal with fresh, dried, and/or processed products.
• Interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Cooperate with others.
• Adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Use slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli products.
• Prepare Appy/Deli products for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing, and restocking.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization.
• Monitor inventory and report spoilage or low stock.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Close attention to pricing and product placement.
• Assist with open/close duties as needed.
