Job description

The Applications Development Senior Group Manager is a senior management position responsible for leading a team or department to develop and implement new or revised application systems in collaboration with the Technology Team. The main goal of this role is to oversee applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Build AI-assisted solutions to automate fine-grain lineage across systems from front to back.
  2. Partner with Use Case Owners and stakeholders from Finance, Risk, Services, Markets, and Banking to manage lineage and tracing solutions.
  3. Integrate lineage and tracing solutions with Data Catalog and exception management systems.
  4. Lead large projects, process improvements, and change management initiatives.
  5. Oversee automation of controls for lineage and tracing activities.
  6. Possess in-depth knowledge of Services, Markets, and Banking products.
  7. Manage Release Management teams, set strategies, and provide leadership and budget oversight.
  8. Develop product plans and coordinate across different product lines.
  9. Research, resolve issues, and escalate as necessary.
  10. Collaborate with regional teams to align global architecture with local requirements, aiming for simplification and standardization.
  11. Communicate architectural directions and their alignment with enterprise strategy.
  12. Manage regulatory agendas aligning with organizational goals and coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives.
Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in enterprise, application, or information architecture within a business or enterprise setting. Expertise in system architecture, technical design, development technologies, and architecture governance. Strong understanding of mission-critical applications in Data Engineering, with experience in Services, Markets, and Banking. Proven product delivery skills, ability to lead data governance, data quality management, data lineage, discovery, and access solutions across multiple divisions. Familiarity with data reconciliations and control infrastructure. Detail-oriented with analytical skills and Agile/Scrum experience. Technical skills include Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, UI, SQL/NoSQL, Angular, AI/ML, Java, Hive, Impala, NLP, APIs, BI tools, UML, and collaboration tools like Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.

Additional Information:

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States. Salary range: $170,000 - $300,000. Citi offers comprehensive benefits and incentive programs. Post close date: July 01, 2025.
