The Applications Development Senior Group Manager is a senior management position responsible for leading a team or department to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology Team. The primary goal of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Build AI-assisted solutions to automate fine-grain lineage across systems from front to back.
- Partner with Use Case Owners and stakeholders from Finance, Risk, Services, Markets, and Banking to manage lineage and tracing solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Catalog and Exception Management teams to integrate lineage and tracing solutions.
- Lead large projects, process improvements, and change management initiatives.
- Oversee solutions and enhancements for automating controls related to lineage and tracing.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Services, Markets, and Banking products.
- Manage Release Management teams, set strategies, and provide leadership, direction, and budget oversight.
- Develop product plans, tactics, and coordinate across different product lines.
- Research, resolve issues, provide recommendations, and escalate as needed.
- Lead collaboration with regional teams to align global architecture with local requirements, focusing on simplification and standardization.
- Communicate architectural directions and their alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Manage regulatory agendas in line with organizational goals, ensuring consistent delivery and prioritization of initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise, application, or information architecture within a line of business or enterprise area.
- Expertise in system architecture, technical design, software development technology, and architecture governance.
- Deep knowledge of mission-critical applications in Enterprise Data Engineering, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Strong functional and technical experience in Services, Markets, and Banking.
- Proven product delivery skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive business transformation and innovation.
- Experience managing Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Data Lineage, Data Discovery, and Access Solutions across multiple divisions.
- Familiarity with Data Reconciliations and Control Infrastructure.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Technical skills include Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, UI development, SQL and NoSQL databases, Angular, AI/ML, Java, Hive, Impala, NLP, APIs, Business Intelligence tools, UML, and collaboration tools like Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
