Job summary

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) seeks a Trades & Apprenticeship Program Coordinator to support the Western Arkansas Apprenticeship Program (WAAP). This role ensures compliance with U.S.

Department of Labor standards and NWACC policies while aiding apprentices, employers, instructors and leadership. The position focuses on recruitment, enrollment, retention, reporting and employer engagement, reporting to the Director of Trades & Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in administration, management, or related field is required.
• Minimum of two years of program administration or related experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and reporting tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist prospective and current apprentices with onboarding, enrollment and program navigation.
• Serve as primary contact for apprentices, employers, instructors and partners; communicate requirements and progress.
• Maintain apprenticeship records, documentation and compliance tracking for attendance, hours, wage progression, licensing and reporting.
• Support audits, annual reviews and required reporting processes.
• Coordinate program operations including instructor onboarding, materials, supplies and end-of-term activities.
• Assist with employer outreach, recruitment activities and program marketing materials.
