Job summary

NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking part-time and substitute instructors in the Plumbing discipline. Job description

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is the largest community college in Arkansas. It offers associate degrees, certificates and workforce training, and is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part‑time and/or substitute instructors in the Plumbing discipline. Applications will be kept on file for the fiscal year ending June30. If you do not provide an email address you must log back into the system for updates. Essential Duties

• Lead classroom instruction of plumbing apprentices appropriate to class/experience level.
• Share trade knowledge, experience, and expertise with apprentices appropriate to class/experience level.
• Create and/or manage delivery of class curriculum adhering to standards outlined in Western Arkansas Apprenticeship Program’s AppendixA: Plumbing.
• Take regular attendance and report attendance to Apprenticeship Coordinator.
• Provide a course syllabus to Apprenticeship Coordinator and Director.
• Report any issues to the appropriate authorities.
• Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies following procedures set by NWACC.
• Willingness to adjust or adapt delivery method of instruction as needed, including but not limited to using college attendance, grading, and learning management system.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Current Arkansas Plumbing License (minimum journeyman).
• 3‑5years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion credential from USDOL Registered Plumbing Apprenticeship Arkansas Journeyman or Master Plumber License or Reciprocal State Journeyman or Master Plumber license.
• NCCER Certified Instructor.

• Knowledge of current2018 Arkansas Plumbing Code.
