The Apprentice Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining the parts warehouse by receiving, storing parts, and filling customer orders under supervision. Other responsibilities include keeping the warehouse clean and orderly, and occasionally delivering and picking up parts from customers and vendors. Skills developed include shipping and receiving, contamination control, hose assembly, forklift operation, customer service, and ERP systems.

Safety

• Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment for all employees, vendors, and clients.
• Complete Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) prior to tasks.
• Maintain clean and clutter-free work areas.
• Adhere to PPE requirements.

Essential Functions

Shipping and Receiving

• Perform inventory counts.
• Pull and package parts for customer orders.
• Deliver and pick up parts from vendors and customers.

Contamination Control

• Repackage damaged parts, identify filter types, and store properly.
• Repackage and store O-rings, cap hoses, and cover drums properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and dispose of waste properly.

Hose Assembly

• Identify and build reusable hoses, salvage fittings.
• Create hoses with proper contamination control.

Forklift, Customer Service, and ERP

• Obtain forklift and other certifications.
• Use parts systems and demonstrate proper lifting techniques.
• Greet clients professionally and follow safety policies.

Continued Development

• Participate in training and develop skills to meet customer expectations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Develop effective working relationships.
• Learn and operate computer systems.
• Work overtime and maintain punctuality.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 6 months customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Characteristics

• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 60 lbs., and perform physical tasks in various environments.
