Job description

The Apprentice Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining the parts warehouse by receiving, storing parts, and filling customer orders under the supervision of a Journeyman or Master level Warehouse Associate. Other responsibilities include maintaining the general condition of the warehouse, keeping it clean and orderly, and occasionally delivering and picking up parts from customers and vendors. Developing skillsets includes shipping and receiving, contamination control, hose assembly, forklift operation, customer service, and ERP system usage.

Safety:

• Actively promotes and advocates safety, ensuring all employees, vendors, and clients work in a safe environment, adhering to all safety policies and standards.
• Completes Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) prior to tasks as per company policy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Shipping and Receiving: Performs inventory counts, pulls and packages parts, delivers and picks up parts from vendors and customers.
• Contamination Control: Repackages damaged parts, manages storage, and maintains cleanliness in the warehouse.
• Hose Assembly: Builds and identifies reusable hoses, demonstrates proper contamination control, and uses the hose book for specifications.
• Forklift, Customer Service, and ERP: Obtains necessary certifications, navigates ERP systems, greets clients professionally, and adheres to safety and housekeeping standards.

Continued Development:

• Participates in ongoing education and training, develops skills to meet or exceed client expectations, and supports organizational initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Effective interpersonal skills, ability to learn forklift operation, computer systems, and work overtime if needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required, with preferred customer service experience and a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 60 lbs., and perform physical tasks in various environmental conditions.
