Job summary

Buckeye Partners in Albany, GA is hiring an Apprentice Terminal Operator to learn the operation and maintenance of terminal, pipeline, marine, and rail assets in the oil and gas industry.

Under supervision, you will assist with receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products, follow safety directives, comply with environmental regulations, and develop skills in inventory control, equipment maintenance, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2+ years related experience in terminal, pipeline or marine operations preferred.
• General understanding of equipment and maintenance of pumps, meters, truck loading rack, and dock facility preferred.
• Experience in petroleum industry is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Train and apply knowledge for maintenance and repair of terminal loading rack, storage and equipment.
• Learn receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products via pipeline, rail and marine dock.
• Familiar with terminal regulations and environmental, safety directives and procedures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and communicate issues to management.
• Maintain good relationships with terminal customers and respond to inquiries.
