Sonic Automotive in Seattle, WA is seeking an Apprentice Service Technician who has completed an automotive technician training program. You will work under a mentor to learn dealership operations and perform vehicle service tasks.

You will diagnose issues, follow repair orders, and participate in factory training while maintaining a safe work environment. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required, along with the ability to pass background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

Job description

Purpose

The Apprentice Service Technician must be a graduate of an automotive technician training school. The apprentice is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by his/her team leader.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assigned a mentor (usually a Master Technician) to assist acclimating to dealership operations and sharing technical knowledge.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Call upon mentor, team leader, or shop foreman when you have a question or need assistance.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional service work is recommended.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.

• Graduation from a valid automotive technical training program.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
