As a stylist-in-training in this temporary 90-day position, we're here to help you learn the business while delivering exceptional customer service across all channels of communication.

What You'll Do

• Learn the ins and outs of growing the business and controlling expenses by observing stylists and managers.
• Greet customers and answer the phone—your smile is your logo.
• Keep the salon clean and follow safety standards.

As a stylist-in-training, you may be eligible for promotion to a stylist position once licensed. Promotion is not automatic; you must earn it and apply for the position with Cost Cutters.

Promotion Criteria

• Possess a valid license in your state.
• Perform duties allowed by your license, including cutting, styling, coloring, waxing, washing, and perming.
• Demonstrate Regis values of honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain required licenses within 90 days of hire.
• Good judgment and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate well with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Tech-savviness for using point-of-sale systems and data entry.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable lifting up to 10 lbs., occasionally 10-25 lbs.
• Standing most of the day.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Availability for mandatory meetings and training, including overnight travel.
