Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of sprinkler piping, heads, hangers, and related components following NFPA 13/13R/13D standards.
• Cut, thread, grooving, and joining pipe using hand and power tools.
• Help with system testing, flushing, and inspections.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Attend apprenticeship classes and complete coursework on schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Relapath is currently recruiting multiple Apprentice Sprinkler Fitters to work in a direct-hire role in Sioux Falls, SD. This is a position could be key to launching you into a career in fire safety!

• As an Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter, you'll work alongside licensed journeymen to install, modify, and service fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.
• This is a hands-on, learn-while-you-earn role tied to a registered apprenticeship program!

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the installation of sprinkler piping, heads, hangers, and related components following approved blueprints and NFPA 13/13R/13D standards
• Cutting, threading, grooving, and joining pipe using hand and power tools
• Helping with system testing, flushing, and inspections
• Maintaining a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Attending all required apprenticeship classes and completing coursework on schedule
• Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Enrollment in, or eligibility for, a UA (United Association) or equivalent registered apprenticeship program
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license preferred
