Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Willing to travel, including overnights.
• NICET I in Service and Repair.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certified.
• Fire Pump experience.
• ABPA backflow license.
• 1 year fire sprinkler fitter experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing and inspecting backflows, standpipes, AFL, fire pumps, wet, dry, and pre‑action fire suppression systems
• Inspect, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with fire sprinkler systems
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Maintain good rapport with customers
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records in a timely manner
• Respond to service calls, including answering phone calls, communicating any emergency service calls to Service Manager, and handling emergency service calls when needed
• Able to work under pressure and as part of a team
• Maintain uniform and tools
• Participate in on‑the‑job training to develop technical skills and industry knowledge
