Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions seeks a Sprinkler Apprentice to assist with the installation of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This entry-level role offers a hands-on path into the Fire and Life Safety trade and the chance to grow with a supportive team.

You'll learn to read blueprints, coordinate with crews, and perform tasks safely on site, with opportunities for apprenticeship programs, training, and career development in a growing industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to enroll in Sprinkler Fitter apprentice program and grow within the Fire and Life Safety industry.
• Self-starter; able to work independently and be a team player with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Willing to learn how to read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.
• Willing to learn how to thread and groove pipe.
• Ability to travel occasionally overnight as needed.
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination and installation of overhead sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, and hose systems.
• Attend and participate in weekly job site safety meetings.
• Learn and assist in reading and interpreting blueprints to help install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.

This is a key position for our growing team and requires someone who is interested in learning the fire sprinkler trade and has a desire to start a career in the exciting and sustainable Fire and Life Safety industry.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Assist with coordination and installation of overhead sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, and hose systems.
• Attend and participate in weekly job site safety meetings.
• Learn and assist in reading and interpreting blueprints to help install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
• Occasionally communicate with various contractors and trades to ensure projects stay on time and on budget.

• Physically fit to perform demanding work, including frequent lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional 50 lbs; able to work from heights, climb ladders, stand and walk most of the workday.
• Ability to travel occasionally overnight as needed.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
