Signarama of Charleston is seeking an Apprentice Sign Installer to learn the installation trade on our crew, from loading the truck to hanging the finished sign. You will work on a variety of projects, starting with panels and vinyl and advancing to dimensional letters and monument signs.
The role emphasizes hands-on training, safety, and daily teamwork with the lead and assistant installers, with overtime paid for late installs and a clear path from apprentice to lead installer as the team
You’d rather spend the day on a ladder than behind a desk, and you want to learn a trade from people who know their stuff. Signarama of Charleston is hiring an Apprentice Sign Installer to learn the installation trade on our crew, from loading the truck in the morning to hanging the finished sign.
Signarama of Charleston takes on the custom, high-difficulty signs other shops hand off, and delivers them on the date and at the price we quoted. That work sits where creativity meets construction, so some days you’re an artist and other days you’re a builder. You’ll work alongside our lead and assistant installers, starting on panels and vinyl and working up to dimensional letters and monument signs. Our lead installer coached our assistant installer from his first day to running installs on his own, and this seat follows the same path.
This is a full-time, on‑site position based in Mount Pleasant, with installs across the Charleston area.
Most days start at the shop, loading the truck and checking the gear before the crew heads out. On site, you’ll foot the ladder, spot the lift, hand up materials, and take on more of the install as you learn it. One job might be vinyl lettering on a storefront window and the next a set of dimensional letters on a building face. After every install, the crew cleans up the site and photographs the finished sign for the job record. The work is outside and on ladders most of the day, in Lowcountry heat. Hours are daytime, and some installs run late so the crew can finish instead of coming back to the jobsite the next day. Overtime is paid when that happens.
