Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner offers an Apprentice program combining classroom learning and on-the-job training in commercial HVAC. You’ll gain hands-on skills and complete NCCER coursework, with credits potentially transferable. Veterans are encouraged to apply and GI Bill sponsorship is available.

You’ll work outdoors in varied environments, learn layout, duct installation, safety, and use of power & hand tools while earning benefits and a structured career path.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience using hand tools and a tape measure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• To work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority.
• Learn to lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings.
• Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work.
• Properly finish and seal duct work.
• Build and install duct hangers.
• Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roofs.
• Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment.
• Learn to use a variety of power & hand tools.
• Complete classes, online work, and at-home study with skills and textbook learning.
